Hard to pick the best, but I can definitely tell you the worst: Kaepa. Stay away from these shoes like the plague! No support, used to twist my ankles in them all the time playing ball.

i'd say either Nike or Reebok..
From my personal experience as a runner I have ran in Nike, Adidias, New Balance, Saucony, and Reebok....I think that's all.
My favorite was probably Adidias, I didn't like Nike because the arc is very high in Nike's and that wasn't comfortable for me. The inside heel part of the New Balance wore down really fast and I didn't like that. Saucony had that same type of problem or at least started to, not as bad as New Balance. And I really didn't have that much experience wearing Reebok.
For running my dad who was a runner and ran marathons and road races, told me that Asics were a really good shoe and I think he also likes Reebok.
Nike still use sweatshops overseas? been forever since i had any for that reason

I like adidas personally... although Nikes are good also
Nike shoes look the best but Adidas are the most comfortable
